Remain Still {Especially When You Want To Get Going}

LLFC LogoIt’s Monday. Don’t you just love Mondays?!

Some people dread Mondays. They look at it like, ‘oh man… here we go again…

But me? Well, I see things differently. I look at Mondays like a new opportunity to wake up and live life with purpose and on purpose.

So last week didn’t go so well… that’s all right. Today’s a new day.

Last week brought with it some challenges? It’s all good. It’s a new day!

My friend, in order to {Live Life Fully Committed} in 2013, we must look at each new day with a fresh perspective. Get rid of the baggage. Get rid of the excuses. Make today count!

With that said, how did last week go?

Did you get yourself a life? {A Prayer Life} that is. Our first stop was our relationship with God.

Did you get a chance to steal some time away with Him?

I hope so because that’s where it all begins. In Him we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:28). Without Him life is monotonous, boring, and oh-so-mundane. But the opposite is also true.

With Him, the ordinary becomes extraordinary. The mundane becomes holy. And the every-day-little-things become purpose-filled.

Doesn’t that sound like living?

If you have to live with these every-day-ordinaries, why not turn them upside down into extraordinary moments of purpose?

Today’s Challenge

Ready for today’s challenge?

Again, we are keeping it simple. We are going step-by-step. Today’s challenge is simply this:

Remain in His Presence.

That’s right. We are going to keep working on this discipline called prayer. Why? Because one day of prayer is easy. Two days… we can do. But can we learn to remain in Him. Can we learn to remain in the Vine?

Can we stay put here when what we really want to do is zoom ahead?

Can we remain still, right here, when what we want is to see miracles, signs, and wonders?

What if I told you that it is these moments of remaining in Him, these moments of fellowship with Him, these moments of prayer time daily that result in life transforming miracles?

Would you be still then?

Remember, He is seeking hearts that are fully committed to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9).

You can do this. Remain still, especially when you want to get going.

Keep practicing this most important discipline of remaining in Him. Then join me tomorrow as we move forward in this {Live Life Fully Committed} Challenge.

One step at a time. One day at a time. By the end of this year, we will look back and dance all over the territory we’ve gained simply by remaining in Him.

Looking forward to the celebration. How about you?
