{Dear Father…My Prayer For You Today}

To all the fathers who have made the decision to father their children…

To all the fathers who have risen up as mentors, leaders, and priests of their homes…

To all the fathers who have decided to stand against the ‘norms’ of society and ‘be the difference’ in the lives of their children…

To all on whom the responsibility of raising up, instructing, and leading falls upon…

imageMy prayer for you today is that God would bless you with:

Wisdom. To navigate through life.

Boldness. To lead in a culture which constantly undermines your authority.

Strength. To ‘be here now’ rather than sit back and lazily watch your life pass you by.

Courage. To fight for your family. To fight for truth and justice. To stand for the cause of Jesus Christ.

Discernment. That you may be able to discern that which your natural eyes are unable to see.

Love. That it’s outpouring over your wife and children would strengthen bonds which the enemy is unable to penetrate.

Strategies. To make lasting changes.

Purity. Because He calls you to be holy.

Integrity. Because who you are when no one is looking is more important than who you are in public.

Passion. For Him. For His Word. For your pursuit of godliness.

Provision. That you may be a blessing to others.

Spirit of Prayer. Because prayer truly does change things.

A heart after God. Because as you seek first the kingdom of God, everything else will be added unto you.

Know that as a father, you don’t walk around empty handed. God has equipped you with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm (Ephesians 1:3-6). And when life gets hard and the burden seems too difficult to bear; when you look at the faces of your children and your wife and you have no answers, I remind you  that you are not alone. Your Father in heaven has everything you need in order to be the leader in your home.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.

Proverbs 3: 5-6

Man of God, I celebrate you this Father’s Day.
