{Faith Academy} School Days

Today I wanted to share with you a fun way to help your children practice their counting, writing, and the concept of addition. My daughter really enjoyed it. I hope it gives you some out of the box ideas to teach your children some basic math skills.

I recommend your child knows her numbers 1-12 before trying this. Your child should also be familiar with one to one counting. Children can easily count to 10, but they should know how to actually count one dot at a time with the understanding that the numbers are increasing.

If your child is not counting yet. You can easily teach them by letting them roll a die. And then point to each dot as you count. This will help them recognize what the number 1, 2, 3, and so on really look like.

Check out my {Counting With Dice} post for more ideas.
