{Bible Reading Plan}

If you’ve been to my devotional blog, Elevate Your Mind, you’d know that I love God’s word! I cannot stress just how important the word of God is in the life of the believer. I was raised in church, yet at the age of 16, I rebelled against God. I ran away from home and I lived a crazy life. You can find out more about {My Story here}.

In 2003, when I came back to the Lord, asked for forgiveness and surrendered my life to Him. I was made new in Christ. However, there was a lot of baggage that I brought with me. The word of the Lord says that if the Son set me free, I am free indeed (John 3:36). So how then could I still be carrying baggage if Jesus set me free?

The short answer: Ignorance. Lack of Knowledge.

Listen to what Romans 12:2 tells us:

“And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Did you catch that? “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”

There was so much garbage I had learned from a past full of sin. There were so many lies and misconceptions I had allowed the enemy to sow deep into my soul.

I needed to know the truth so that the truth would set me free (John 8:32).

And so my journey began in April 2003 when I gave my life to the Lord. I picked up the Bible and asked God for his wisdom. I asked Him to teach me and to give me understanding and revelation. I asked Him to change me through His word; to allow me to see the myself through the mirror of His word. My life was never the same. God’s word continues to pierce through my soul tearing down everything that lifts itself up against the knowledge of who God is. Every lie has to bow down and surrender to God’s truth. Every misconception has to align itself with God’s word.

My friend, you cannot go wrong by opening your Bible. Try it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

I know it can seem overwhelming so I encourage you to try a {Bible Reading Plan}. I am currently doing a Chronological Reading Plan (in one year) which lists the Bible chapters in Chronological order (the order in which events took place). You can do the same or you can choose to read straight through from Genesis to Revelations. There are numerous plans out there. You can even choose which Bible Translation to use.

Check out EWord Today <——by clicking on the link to get started.

I promise you, your life will be enriched by the wisdom and knowledge found in God’s word. You will begin to see the purpose God has for your life. You will begin to see the way God reveals himself in His word. You will learn about all the amazing ways He has fought for His people. You will meet the godly men and women who came before you. You will learn what it means to live a righteous and holy life before God. You will learn about Jesus redemptive work on the cross. You will  learn about the Holy Spirit’s and how He leads and guides you in truth…And most of all you will be introduced to the greatest love story ever told!!!! God’s great plan of salvation… His plan to win you back to Himself!

Really- it’s an amazing story!!!!

{Note} Most of the reading plans on that site I provided begin in January. Simply start reading the January 1st and keep going until you catch up. You still have more than enough time to read through the Bible in a year.

How awesome is that?!!!

Don’t forget to stop by and let me know if you decide to begin your own reading plan. I would love to hear from you!!!!
