COURAGEOUS- Movie Review

image

I was so excited last week when I received an email response from FOCUS ON THE FAMILY. I signed up to be a part of their give-a-away and yesterday I received the movie COURAGEOUS!!!! Woo hoo! I love prizes and gifts and even more so when they are life impacting.

Yesterday during our {Family Night}, we sat down and popped the movie in. Although I don’t recommend this movie for youngsters, due to scenes which deal with gangs and drugs, it was an awesome family movie.  It is so difficult now-a-days to find movies which share our faith and values. This movie hit it on the mark! In addition to all the faith and life issues it addressed, there was no  nudity or bad language.

It proved to be an amazing resource, especially for my 12-year-old son. Not only was he into the movie, but he was moved by the difficulties each character experienced. Especially the grief one of the couples experienced (I don’t want to ruin it for you so I won’t spill the beans here). You’ve got to go out and watch this movie.

I encourage husbands and wives to watch this movie together.

You will be hit head on with the issues of:

  • Courage
  • Your relationship with God
  • Fathering
  • Family
  • Finances
  • Integrity
  • Loyalty
  • Hard Work/ Diligence
  • Gangs/Drugs
  • Greed
  • Passivity
  • Responsibility
  • Love
  • Friendship
  • Mentoring
  • Self-Sacrifice

There’s just so much jam-packed into this movie. It’s a must see!!! A definite addition to the FAMILY LIBRARY. If you have not yet seen it, make it a point to do so. There is no possible way for you to watch the movie and leave without being impacted!
