Week 2: Journey to Financial Freedom, Income & Spending Plan

It is so awesome to have you back today. I can personally relate to the burden that is experienced when our financial house is not in order. And although this is as much a process for me as it is for you, I am confident that together, we will make great leaps in this specific area of our lives!

{WHAT’S NEXT?} The next step is actually one of the most important steps an

Where's all your money going?

d it will require some work on your behalf. This step: {Completing Your Income & Spending Plan}, is necessary in order to truly see where your money is going on a monthly basis. This plan is found in the Crown’s Biblical Financial Study, however for those of you who do not have that yet (I recommend you purchase it. You will be able to go so much deeper than what we can here on the blog!), you can also find a PDF download of the file on Crown Financials website, simply click {here}.

Each day requires that you document all of your spending. It might seem a bit tedious at first, but remember, this tool is for you! It’s designed so that you can see where your money is actually going. After 30 days, you will be able to see how you’re really spending your hard earned cash! You spend so much time earning the cash, why not take the 30 days required to see what you’re doing with the money that comes in.

The memory verse for this week is: “Everything in the heavens and earth is yours, O Lord,” (1 Chronicles 29:21 TLB).

Memorize it and continue to remind yourself why you are doing what you’re doing. When everybody is out shopping or when everyone around you is going out to eat… Remind yourself why you are on this mission… because everything, everything, in the heavens and earth is the Lords. We are simply stewards and we will be held accountable for how we take care of what has been entrusted to us.

{MY PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY} Dear Lord, I pray for my friends who have embarked on this {Journey to Financial Freedom}. You know how difficult it is for us to get out of the messes we created. Today we humble ourselves before you and we repent for the things that we have allowed to get in the way of what you want to do with us in this area.

We repent from pride, greed, arrogance, selfish agendas and all the like. Help us Lord to do things your way- because the truth is, our way has not worked! Today, I pray that you empower every person reading this through the power of your Holy Spirit!

Let wisdom and truth lead them and guide them on every spending decision. Begin to open their hearts and minds to your truth… to your ways of handling the money and possessions you entrust to us! You are and awesome God and I trust that with You, all things are possible… Even finding financial freedom! Grant us success, favor and grace as we move forward- one step at a time! In Jesus Name, AMEN

{YOUR TURN} Now it’s your turn for action. Print out your sheet and get started. If you don’t have access to a printer, simply take a notebook and begin to jot every single thing you purchase, even if it’s a pack of gum. Every penny counts, so don’t round up. Put exact item purchased and the amount spent. Believe me, this will be very helpful!

Don’t forget to keep me updated on your journey. Do you have any reservations about this week’s assignement, or do you have any progress reports thus far? I would love to hear from you!
