{I’ve Got Some Tools For You!!}

I am so glad you made it back today. Why? Because it tells me that you are interested in more for your life! And that, my friend, is amazing. It says a lot about you. It says that you are not giving up on your dreams or on your desire to continue on this journey towards {A Healthy Lifestyle}- Kudos to you!

So you’ve made a couple (okay more than a couple) mistakes along the way. So what?!

So you’ve tried this journey one too many times and failed. So what?!

So you’re afraid to believe this for yourself…now that, I care about! Why? Because I’ve been in that hopeless place time and time again.

Would you believe me if I told you that once, I read almost a whole book of the Bible and I cried and said to the Lord, “I believe that, but not for me“. I just couldn’t believe that anything good could come out of my mess. I was so stuck in my depression that I lost all hope in life ever being fulfilling.

Some would say that posting about this stuff, about organization, about cleaning and couponing… (and everything else you find here on {In Pursuit}) is pointless and meaningless. Some would say that we need to get into prayer, into the word, into doing something “out there”. What do I say to these people?

  1. Go take a stroll on my Elevate Your Mind site. There’s a lot in there to assist with getting into God’s word!
  2. If you aren’t going to extend your hand out to someone who is in need, then get out-of-the-way. Excuse me while I choose to make a difference. Excuse me while I choose to live, learn, and then spread the knowledge.

Why do I begin today’s post with this? Because I believe I have to encourage somebody out there to quiet the voices of the critics. I don’t care about how many times you’ve failed… because I have my own list of failures. I don’t care about why people say it will never happen for you… because many have said the same about me. I do care that you stop, take a moment, and let this soak into your heart…

You can do this! You can live life differently! You can be the person God created you to be!

Now- without further delay, let’s get this party started. You and I, together, are taking another step towards {A Healthy Lifestyle}. Let’s go!

Last week we spoke about {Increasing Your Food I.Q}. Let us look at the 6 questions we were looking to answer:

  • What are calories?
  • What’s so important about water and how much of it should I be drinking?
  • What’s the big deal about carbohydrates? What are they anyway?
  • How much protein do we really need and what is the importance of it?
  • Fats (yes, these are are actually necessary in your diet), what about them?
  • What do I need to know about vitamins and minerals?

How did you do? Did you take the time to research the information? I believe that this is where it all starts and I am committed to your success…

So, with that said, if you didn’t get to research, I want you to take this week to do so. Here’s an idea: try researching one of the questions a day. Is that better? Less stressful even? I know you can do it!

This week I have two awesome tools for you.

1.) The first one, I showed you already: the  {Food Diary} except I revised it and added the space for {Vitamins}. I want to make sure that I am remembering to take these daily.

2.) The second tool is your very own {Workout Calendar} for the month of October. Each date on the calendar has a box which you will check off as you work out. Remember, the goal is 3-5 days of exercise (30-45 minutes each session). Moving is key!

I had so much fun putting these together. I hope you will take advantage of the print outs. This October we will officially begin our {Accountability, It Makes The Difference} challenge and with these tools, you and I, will be one step closer to success!

Please do not forget to make it your business to research the FOOD I.Q. questions. This will give you a great heads up for our October challenge.

If you are up for the challenge, please leave a comment.

Again, I am committed to emailing or messaging you daily and to lifting you up in prayer (that’s right! We seal it all with prayer here on {In Pursuit}!). Leave me your comments. I want to hear from you!
