Jeremiah 17:5-10 (The Message)
“5-6God’s Message:
“Cursed is the strong one
who depends on mere humans,
Who thinks he can make it on muscle alone
and sets God aside as dead weight.
He’s like a tumbleweed on the prairie,
out of touch with the good earth.
He lives rootless and aimless
in a land where nothing grows.”
I don’t know about you, but as a mother and a wife (even as a woman full of dreams), I have found myself many times trying to ‘control’ things in my life. It’s almost as though ‘control’ over situations brings me the peace necessary to make it through the moment.
How foolish- to think that I have the strength, the skill, or even the will on my own to make it through life with all its twists and turns. {read more…}
